People are being warned that a road in Hadfield will be restricted to one lane for five days to allow footpaths to be resurfaced.
Traffic will be temporarily prohibited from travelling in a south westerly direction on Shaw Lane from the junction at Brookfield to the Dinting Road junction.
The restriction will be in place from Monday 1 to Friday 5 March, between 9.30am and 3.30pm each day.
An alternative route for motorists is via Dinting Road, Talbot Road, Norfolk Street and the A57.
Derbyshire County Council say the restriction will be in place until the work is finished, which may be earlier than planned, and apologises for any inconvenience caused.

The road was also closed earlier this month to allow for electrical works, which were due to be carried out back in December but had to be put back after the road was closed for 18 days due to emergency works to repair multiple gas leaks.
