Derbyshire Neighbourhood Watch launch new website

Derbyshire Neighbourhood Watch have launched a new website, which contains information and advice for people thinking about joining or starting a watch in their area.

The website - which you can access by clicking here - has been funded by Police and Crime Commissioner Hardyal Dhindsa.

Mr Dhindsa says he has also set aside a pool of money for Neighbourhood Watch schemes to run new and creative approaches to crime prevention in their area, called the Neighbourhood Watch Innovation Fund.

He said it was recently doubled to £5,000 "in recognition of the hugely valuable work NHW schemes undertake to reduce the fear of crime and boost public safety".

PCC Dhindsa added: "NHW is one of the many important partners working alongside Derbyshire Police to drive criminals from our county, and their reassuring presence really does improve quality of life."
