Cyclist seriously injured following hit-and-run

A cyclist has been left with serious injuries following a hit-and-run crash in Buxton.

It happened at around 11.50am on Thursday 10 September on Station Road, close to the junction with Palace Road.

Police say they would like to speak to the driver of a white Toyota Aygo, which is believed to have collided with the cyclist.

The cyclist was left with a broken hip and he remains in hospital.

Motorists are being asked to check their dashcam footage if they were driving through Buxton at the time and travelled along Fairfield Road, Bridge Street, Station Road and St John’s Road.
