Chatsworth strikes gold in National Tourism Awards

Chatsworth has been recognised for going the extra mile to provide a high-quality day out after securing gold in the National Tourism Awards.

The Visit England accolades celebrate quality, innovation, and best practice within the visitor attraction sector.

The Gold award for Chatsworth was the only one handed out for Derbyshire and the Peak District for 2020-2021, and one of just three in the whole region.

Pamela Pearson, from the visitor experience team at Chatsworth, said: “We are delighted to have been awarded Gold for 2020-2021.

“The enormous challenges faced by the tourism industry as a result of the pandemic make this year's award feel extra special, so we would like to dedicate the award to all our colleagues and volunteers who pulled together in difficult times to welcome our much-appreciated visitors.”

This Christmas is the 20th anniversary of the first festive season held in the house. Until 9 January 2022, visitors can enjoy the decorated rooms and illuminations in the garden.
