Charities scoop double donations

Three Glossopdale charities have had their donations doubled thanks to big-hearted Freemasons.

Last autumn, Glossopdale Lodge members presented Glossop Age Concern, Glossop Foodbank and Glossop RVS Lunch Club each with a cheque for £200.

The three charities have now received a further £200 match funded by the Provincial Grand Lodge of Derbyshire Freemasons.

Cheques for £100 were also handed over at a presentation night at Glossopdale Lodge’s Henry Street headquarters to Bradbury House Community Centre and Evolution Martial Arts Centre.

A £200 donation was also given to Glossop Rugby Club to assist with junior development with £100 donated towards the Australian Disaster Fund.

During 2019 Glossopdale Lodge made contributions totalling more than  £4,000 to local charities and are already continuing into 2020 with further giving.
