Car ended up on its roof on busy road

The road was blocked for a period after a vehicle overturned.

Firefighters from Glossop, along with police and paramedics, were called to Snake Road in Bamford following reports that a car was on its roof.

It happened at around 11.30am on Sunday (23 May).

It's believed that nobody was injured.

Andrew Byford, who lives close to the scene, told us: "A few yards of roadside hedge was destroyed."

A Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Crews from Glossop were mobilised to a road traffic collision involving one vehicle on its roof. This was on Snake Road in Bamford.

"No persons were trapped and the vehicle was made safe by the fire service."
