Burglars make off with van, tools and cash in Whaley Bridge

Police investigating a burglary in Whaley Bridge, in which a van, tools and a substantial amount of cash were taken, are appealing for information.

It happened between 12.55am and 1.45am on Tuesday 1 December on Bings Road. 

The burglars broke into the house, stole a set of keys to a silver Mercedes Sprinter van, a substantial amount of cash and a number of work tools which were in the back of the van.

Officers want to hear from anyone who may be able to help – in particular drivers who may have dashcam from the area at the time or homeowners with CCTV in the area.
