A round-up of High Peak planning applications

We take a look at the planning applications which have been submitted to, and approved by, High Peak Borough Council of late.

New Applications 

A number of planning applications have been submitted to High Peak Borough Council. They include: 

  • Detached timber outbuilding at Stable Cottage, Unnamed Road from Chapel Station to Ridge Hall, Chapel-En-Le-Frith  
  • Demolition of existing garage, new two-storey side extension, and rear balcony at Willowby, Woodseats Lane, Charlesworth 
  • Single storey rear extension at 18 Heron Close, Glossop 
  • Construction of agricultural hay barn on pastureland at Knightwake Farm, Eaves Knoll Road, New Mills  
  • Conversion into a short-term holiday let of Weighbridge House Hawkshead Mill, Hawkshead Road, Glossop 
  • Rear and side extension at 15 North Close, Tintwistle 
  • Retrospective application for three illuminated fascia signs, two non-illuminated fascia signs, 3 no. A0 poster frames and 2 no. banner frames at Options House, Brookfield Industrial Estate, Peakdale Road, Dinting 
  • Retrospective permission for construction of timber outbuilding at 52 Scotty Brook Crescent, Glossop 
  • Loft conversion with rear dormer at 13 Manor Park Road, Glossop

Plans Approved 

Plans that have been given the go-ahead and approved by High Peak Borough Council include: 

  • Two storey side and single storey porch extension at 12 Buxton Road, Chapel-en-le-Frith 
  • First floor side extension and single storey rear extension at 2 Barleycroft, Hadfield, Glossop,  
  • Conversion of integral garage to habitable accommodation, demolition of existing conservatory and new extension at 4 Bramble Bank, Glossop 
  • Dormer loft extension to rear of 32 Bridge Street, New Mills 
  • Construction of temporary road, temporary surface area for site office, welfare facilities and storage of equipment for duration of the build, removal of 4m section of beech hedging, and security fencing and gates at Co-Op Fields rear of Mount Pleasant, Spring Bank, New Mills
