Changes to what you can take to recycling centres

Changes to what you can take to household waste and recycling centres in Tameside and Oldham will be introduced this weekend.

From Saturday (May 16), you will be able to take general waste, cardboard, garden waste (excluding soil), wood and timber to the Bayley Street centre in Stalybridge and Arkwright Street centre in Oldham.

People are asked to ensure waste and recycling is separated so it can be put in the right container upon arrival.

Both centres are open 8am to 6pm seven days a week.

But Recycle for Greater Manchester is continuing to advise people to only visit the centres if you really need to and check before you travel to see if your vehicle registration number is even or odd.
