Audenshaw councillor Oliver Ryan has encouraged people to follow the official advice of staying home unless critically important after going into self isolation due to showing symptoms of Coronavirus.
Writing on Facebook he said that he’d developed a bad cold, alongside a tight chest and cough. Being asthmatic, he’s taken the official advice to stay at home.
He re-iterated the advice to look after neighbours and not to stockpile food.
He wrote: “This will end, but only if everyone follows instructions and pulls together - metaphorically, not physically of course!”
Many took to the comments to leave the councillor their well-wishes.
