Schools' laptop fundraiser appeal tops £3,000

A property business in Hyde leading a campaign to supply local children with laptops for remote learning during lockdown is celebrating a new milestone.

On The Move Property Boutique in Gee Cross was aiming to raise £2,000 to buy laptops for schools earlier this year, but with that target quickly surpassed, it aimed to raise £5,000 instead.

Now the appeal has already soared past the £3,000 mark with more laptops being bought and delivered to schools including Bredbury St Marks and St Christopher’s,Romiley.

Director and owner of On The Move, Annabelle Jardine-Jones (pictured), said the response to their Computers For Schools Kids Appeal had been ‘fantastic’ and thanked everyone who had donated to date.
