Midnight Swim

From Monday 8th July onwards, band of the week on Tameside Radio's Local Music Spotlight feature are Midnight Swim. Formed around Greater Manchester, the band are a five-piece Alternative Pop and Rock band, who hit the music scene last year with a sound that is described by the band as 'The 1975 and Paramore in a bar brawl'. Led by vocalist Jack Valentine, the group swiftly gained recognition sharing stages with the likes of Emarosa, Deaf Havana, and Arm's Length. In May 2023 they released their debut EP, "Into The Night," combining alt-pop melodies with raw rock energy. Their next release was the single "The Last Song I'll Write About You" which came out in December, a song which showcased their upbeat vibe despite its juxtaposition themes. With their most recent release, "Bend and Break", Midnight Swim promises to push their sound further this year, with another single being set for release in the late summer and a handful of shows to be announced. Known for energetic pop-rock live performances while maintaining uniqueness, the band is carving its place firmly in the local music scene. Midnight Swim's music will be played on every weekday show on Tameside Radio between 6am and 7pm. The band also joined the team on The Dave Sweetmore Show on Monday 1st July, you can listen again via the OnDemand section of the website.
